Raised in the Chippewa Valley of West Central Wisconsin, an area abundant in rivers, lakes, streams and wildlife, Jackie fell in love with critters of all shapes and sizes at an early age. After studying Art and Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire it became clear that her love for animals and art would combine into a unique style and presentation of wildlife art.
Jackie's love for animals is reflected in the content, gentle expression in the eyes of her subjects.

Critters
Jackie loves animals and enjoys being able to look at and be around animals while she is painting. Be it the photographs of Whitetail Deer as she studies for a new Buck painting, the squirrels chattering outside of her studio window, or her feline kid Sadie plopped in the middle of a work in progress, animals are a big part of her life.

Sadie The Cat
Sadie is a Chestnut, Tabby, Oriental Shorthair with a strong personality and demanding voice. When she wants attention, she wants it now!
If left home alone, Sadie feels it necessary to scold Jackie for quite an extended period of time-then return to her bed for a nap. What a life!

Queen Of The Studio
Sadie has a keen sense of when breaktime is close and rarely misses a chance to take a break with Jackie. When Sadie feels she needs more attention than she is receiving, she will take a stroll over a wet painting...afterall, negative attention is still attention.
